Director of Curriculum @ Audacity Labs (AL)

I have been mentoring venture teams at Audacity Labs by leveraging past entrepreneurial experiences to guide students from ideation to launch for a nonprofit dedicated to helping underserved North Carolina teens develop their own social impact venture. As director of curriculum, I developed extracurricular programming and the core I&E curriculum, establishing AL as the leading incubator for the Durham entrepreneurship community. By developing new curricula and designing educational materials to enhance student engagement and learning, I have helped facilitate scientific discovery and engineering in Durham. AL has provided me with the opportunity to promote and ensure diversity in STEM by providing underrepresented groups the tools, skills, and mindset needed for engineering and entrepreneurship in critical fields. This experience has taught me so much not just about my personal style of leadership but how I can have an impact on students' lives by helping students realize the potential they have to impact their own communities. I am certain by empowering the next generation of leaders, I will inspire the next generation of innovators.

Capitol Hospitality LLC

I started a company with my father to explore untapped markets in the state of New York through strategic investments in hotels while creating employment opportunities for immigrants and underserved communities in Albany County. I lead the strategy team to identify and pursue expansion opportunities in the multifamily home market through direct property improvements and income enhancements, which double as temporary residences for workers until they can buy their own property. By combining traditional real estate models with the sewa selfless service model from Sikhism, I hope to redefine what social impact could look like in the housing market. Using data-driven analysis and sustainable technologies, I've been able to optimize building performance and energy efficiency, which are critical components for scientific discovery in the field of sustainable development. We are currently in the process of integrating IoT technology and AI systems into the built-in environment, to not only improve the quality of life for residents and reduce the environmental stress on urban areas, which will contribute to Albany's transformation to a smart city.
